The Osmile ED1000 Shower Model features multiple layers of waterproof structure throughout the device. The entire waterproofing process takes about a week to complete. After the internal components and waterproofing structure are fully assembled, the watch can function underwater at a depth of 15 cm, even without the external casing.
With the casing on, the Osmile ED1000 Shower Model can operate for over 7 days underwater at a depth of 15 cm. (During testing, if the battery runs out, simply take the watch out, dry it, recharge it, and return it to water to continue the test.)
Most IP67 waterproof GPS watches on the market lack internal waterproofing of all components. Once submerged, water begins to seep in, and the entire device can become inoperable within about 30 minutes.
Even watches with stronger waterproof designs have a time limit. Over time, waterproof materials may degrade, weakening the original waterproof protection. Most brands do not offer regular waterproof maintenance services, so after 6 to 12 months, if the waterproof layer deteriorates and water enters the electronic components, the device will short-circuit and fail.
Osmile offers an annual waterproof reinforcement service.
Within the 2-year warranty, you are entitled to two free waterproof reinforcements.
After the warranty period, only a service fee is required for waterproof maintenance.
Note:
The Osmile ED1000 Shower Model is suitable for warm showers around 40°C. It is not suitable for hot baths or swimming.
Requires a specific tool to remove, preventing elderly users from unintentionally taking it off. This ensures continuous monitoring and 24/7 safety protection.
Fall Detection
(Detects falls and automatically sends SOS messages via SMS / Osmile APP, and dials emergency contacts.)
When the Osmile ED1000 detects a serious fall, it emits three warning sounds (each 3 seconds long) and displays an on-screen alert.
If you manually dismiss the first alert, the device will not initiate emergency calls.
If all 3 warnings sound without being dismissed (for a total of 9 seconds), the device will automatically call the 3 preset emergency contacts in your Osmile GPS Tracker APP. If the first doesn’t answer, it calls the next, and so on.
Family and caregivers using the Osmile APP will receive the fall alert and GPS location, and can navigate directly to the fall site.
